◇ご挨拶
皆様、大変ご無沙汰しております。
イタリアでの作品展を開催したのが、もう2年前になります。作品展後、次の新しい発想を考え進めていたのですが、世界的にコロナという今までに経験のない大変な事態になりました。
しかし、私にはそれが逆に考える時間が沢山取れ、一途に制作に向き合う時間となりました。そしてそれは、絞りと藍染めの制約を駆使して、私が40年間考えて来た、他にないものを求めて、自らの創作をしていく時間でもありました。
そこで、今までは単発発表を繰り返して参りましたが、ここで総決算として作品のとり纏めを行い、今まで以上に創作活動に専念したいと思っています。
つきましては、創作活動以外の工房の業務はイタリアの個展でも尽力頂いた、北郷知子さんに依頼することに致しました。この場を借りて皆様にお伝えしたいと思います。

賢二さんの作品に長きに渡り触れてまいりましたが、30年近い月日を病と共存しながら、こんなに情熱を持って藍と向き合い、作品創りをしてきた彼の仕事をもっともっと沢山の方々に認知していただきたいと心より願っておりました。この度、意を共にして頂ける北郷さんにお手伝い頂けますこと、心より感謝を致しております。

◇ Greetings
It has been a while since I last kept in touch with you
It was two years ago that I held an exhibition in Italy. After the exhibition, I was thinking about the next new idea, but because of COVID-1, it became a difficult situation in the world, which I had never experienced before.
However, I had a lot of time to think about it the other way around, and it was time to face the production all at once. And it was also the time to create my own, seeking something unique that I had been thinking about for 40 years, making full use of the restrictions of squeezing and indigo dyeing.
So, until now, I have repeated one-off announcements, but here I would like to summarize my works as a total settlement and concentrate on my creative activities more than ever.
Therefore, I decided to ask Tomoko Kitago, who also contributed to the solo exhibition in Italy, for the work of the workshop. I would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone.
Then, please look forward to the work of the total settlement in the future.

I have been touching Kenji's work for a long time, even while coexisting with illness for nearly 30 years, he has been created his artworks with strong passion. I sincerely hope many people will see his real artworks. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ms. Kitago for her help.
